Makenzie
Cincotta

Architectural Designer

Hello!

I’m a detail-oriented designer who values quality and thoughtful design, and I will be a great asset to your team.

Throughout my years spent discovering my interests and strengths, I have consistently been drawn to that which balances creativity with innovation. I place great importance on seeing ideas thoroughly considered while also questioning initial solutions to seek opportunities that further the concepts of design. This tendency of mine is one of my greatest assets and surely reflects itself in the work that I do.

Growing up in Milwaukee, I have had the pleasure of watching the diverse roots of this city bloom into an environment that promotes kinship now and will continue to do so for generations. I believe this sense of kinship is strengthened through access to well-designed public environments, and I hope to use intriguing design to draw the public together through the built environment in meaningful, lasting ways.

Fascinated by contemporary urban development, I am motivated to continue refining my ability to solve complex problems while remaining attentive to experience, context, and placemaking. As I grow as a designer, I hope to shape how people experience their surroundings, connecting communities to their environments memorably. My desire to never stop growing and learning will be something that takes me far in this industry. I am committed to this, and to contributing thoughtfully within a collaborative studio environment.

I look forward to communicating with you and thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Makenzie R Cincotta, A.A.S. Architectural Drafting/Construction Technology, A.A.S. Interior Design, IIDA Student Member, ASID Student Member, NKBA Student Member

about.

Makenzie Cincotta grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin. She attended Nathan Hale High School (2014-18). During her years there, she participated in many extra curriculars all in different fields of interest. For athletics, she competed nationally with the Milwaukee Rowing Club and received high honors with them. Academically, she was a four-year honor roll student, and was regarded highly among her teachers and peers. Participating in all honors and AP classes, Makenzie spent much of her time maintaining a high level of excellence in academics. With her remaining time, she participated in many musical groups and organizations, including 4 years as a part of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (2012-16), and being awarded the highest scoring at the state level for solo and ensemble performances every year she was of age to qualify. Being known as a strong leader, Makenzie was not only selected to lead many teams to success at competitions like SkillsUSA in the team engineering design build category (2018), but also implemented self-discipline and time-management to carry herself to success at the state level in forensics during her senior year. Focusing on her future success, she attended West Allis Central High School for classes her primary high school did not offer, including Project Lead the Way, which she earned credit for by successfully passing the exam for the program.
